I thought the little riff you had going was a pretty cool idea, but I think you should watch the volume of the synth because at the start it suddenly got pretty loud out of nowhere and it startled the crap out of me haha. I’m also new to producing so feel free to give me some feedback on my track here: First ever track!! Comments and feedback?
Also I think you should work on the sound on your kick drum. I too have the same problem and mine doesn’t sound quite right so if you wanna share tips on that by all means hit me up.

Hmmyes you are right, I have to work on my finishing.
My thoughts are similar to Croma’s and I would like to also add that the track needs percussion so that it either drives it towards the chorus or creates some sort of rhythm that you can chop up before each new section to let the listener know there will be a change. When getting the levels right on any sound first try to judge it a really really low level, if it doesnt come through clearly with the rest of the mix then raise it till it sounds comfortable then raise the volume to normal listening level on your monitors and fine tune it. Hope that helps.
