I did get it new. I happen to have a friend who is a manager at Guitar Center and saved me a few bucks. I will be sure to check Traktor out. I currently have Serato, Ableton 8 and Rekordbox so Traktor will be a nice addition. I’m sure they all have their benefits. From watching youtube videos I found a few more programs I want to check out as well. Mainly Massive or anything similar. So much to learn!
it’s always good to get a discount…i can’t even remember the last time i payed full price for any gear. i always either get a deal used, a crazy price match at guitar center, or at the very least 15% off from sales.
speaking of massive, i really need to upgrade my maschine software so i can start playing around with that since it’s free. i picked up an mk1 new for $399 with a free pair of rokit 5s but i haven’t focused too much time into getting deep into it. the little i have played with it does seem really awesome though. i’m loving it so far. i hear ya, so much to learn and so little time…

Can’t beat that deal! Is there any free software similar to massive? I don’t mind buying software down the line but since I’m on a PC now with intentions of going back to a Mac ultimately, I don’t want to invest in software that I will have to repurchase down the road.

You can make most of the same sounds with operator.
