Next version of Kontrol S4?
Is there any idea of when an updated version of the Kontrol S4 will come out, or similar product by Native that takes the S4 to another level?
Nope. I think the S4 has quite a bit of time to run before it gets replaced.
There is no need for “another level” unless the software is radically changed to another level.
We just got into this level, enjoy it.
More features on top of S4 and I would be even more overwhelmed.
i think the s4 is the technics 1200’s of the controller world. people will still be using em in a decade.

Can’t see NI bringing another S4 Type controller out in the near future. M-audio w/ Xponent pretty much started all of this & still hasn’t been upgraded !
I honestly don’t think there’s a lot more any companys can offer when it comes to the Midi controller that we’ve got available to us nowdays.
I know there’s a lot of stuff that we’d like in/on our controllers but I can’t see anyone realistically bringing a controller out that really is going to please everyone.
S4 is pretty close along with the DDJT1, but they’re still lacking some stuffs…
this is what i hate about modern tech,the s4 is still warm and people want more when there are guys out there doing amazing things with just cheap controllers yet people seam to want one controller to do everything and wipe there ass at the same time/
fuck a new controller its all down to creative mappings, you people are lazy 
s4 is the most complete 1 to 1 mapping for traktor possible, it does everything

Dj mentality aint the same as customer mentality. DJs (as like other artists) love to simply play and BE CREATIVE to whatever they have available. Customers consume things until they are presented with the next other big thing. Customers are so trained at expecting things that of they dont get a new product by X time they would actually demand a new one and companies will (very happily) oblige. Even worse with internet fast events and mentality where old is a month ago.
I would love to see NI giving their products the kind of support DJTT gave (and still gives?) to the VCI-100. Maybe that way the can further promote their stuff for more sales… Or maybe turn into Apple and introduce a new generation every year. :eek:
and this is where the wheat separates from the chuff. either you´ll be a good dj (making money, getting fame and bitches) or you´ll suck and wont be able to afford new stuff!
it’s up to you to bring it to the next level! 
ive come to learn over the years that getting gigs, fame, and bitches has nothing to do with a dj’s skill, and everything to do with their ability to market, hire the right agent, and do drugs with the right nightclub owners.
