NI Kontrol X1 midi channel switching help

Need help from someone for creating a midi mapping for NI Kontrol x1…

What I’m wanting to do is setup kind of 4 ‘pages’ on the x1…

Switching between them using the fx1 fx2 fx1 fx2 buttons most likely.

Now I could use modifiers… But that’s gonna get very messy fast.

Only one shift button, but ideally I would like to change the midi notes or channels for 4 different ‘banks’

So how can I do this!

Do I need to use something like bome, or can it be done without?

Are you using Traktor? if so, you could use the bare bones modifiers of this mapping (it uses NHL not MIDI:

and adapt it to your own ideas. Just a thought.

You can only create 4 pages using modifiers, you can’t change the X1’s MIDI channel on the fly, so you are limited to the regular and shift layers.

Anybody used this Traktor Bible Tool… ?

Claims:

  • TSI Merger, to merge the MIDI and keyboard mapping from two files into one
  • Channel Changer, to change the MIDI channels in a MIDI-Mappings
  • Deck Remapper, to remap the deck assignment of the MIDI commands in a tsi file

But im on mac.

That doesn’t work on newer versions of Traktor, if it would, it still doesn’t do what you are trying to achieve.
