NI Traktor DJ Cable

NI Traktor DJ Cable

expensive and not innovative…

DJTT already did a full article on this cable.

Is it dual mono just like the djay cable?

All splitters like this are dual mono.

That would be the link Ed posted lol

I don’t understand…is this just an audio splitter and nothing more?

yup. just a usual splitter. nothing more nothing less. spectacular…i know

I’ll have to buy it because NI made it. It’s only logical.

I love NI, but this is a little over the top, just for a little branding. But I guess it will appeal to the people that buy monster cables and beats headphones. Good business though, the markup on those is huge. Pretty unspectacular tho

yup i even posted the link in the thread.

It’s Traktor branded, that is a lot more!..

I am gob-smacked buy this.

If you can’t find a cable that does exactly this for £0.99p on ebay you are a donut.

Also - I’m sure mdcdesign could make a MUCH nicer stereo to twin mono splitter for £20…

I would buy it

Seriously this is ridiculous..

I nearly posted a thread about this mocking the product (or more accurately its price), but figured I’m not exactly the best person to be bashing the cable industry considering how it’s going to be my bread and butter for the foreseeable future :stuck_out_tongue:!

With that said, there ARE some cheaper alternatives out there, and this doesn’t do anything significantly differently to them. The tricky thing is finding one which splits a stereo input into two joint stereo outputs; one from the left channel and one from the right channel; rather than just splitting a stereo signal into two MONO channels, or duplicating both stereo channels.

Tbh, if there’s actually any interest in the NI cable, I could probably come up with a funky-looking alternative

Same goes for all other audio+digital cables. Maybe you could add that to your product descriptions.

Wow, that was a bit uncalled for.

I got excited and hoped they had made a nice compact stereo solution (some how). Oh well.

Like a 30-pin adapter with an NI DAC in it and two 3.5mm sockets? That would’ve been pretty cool for the TDJ users out there tbh.

Yeah, though I’d personally prefer a lightening adaptor  Oh well, I knew it was unlikely when I saw it connected to the headphone socket, but you never know…
