Nicolas Jaar Music Anyone?
I know im probably really late to this genre, but inspired by his amazing essential mix, i picked up Nicolas Jaar’s album Space is Only Noise and i know it might not be everyone’s cup of tea but im thinking of picking up a launchpad and having a go at some more electronica and deep house. So i was wondering if anyone could suggest any other artists to check out that are doing stuff similar or complementary to Jaar.

Just saw Jaar at mutek and it was amazing.

I think he remaps his mixer to go along with his launch pad. Im pretty sure it was in a recent interview. Maybe xcl8r?
The show was great. He had a guy on the guitar and his buddy on the sax and keys. They did some improv, some new Jaar and old stuff.
Jaar has his own record label that he releases stuff on but i think he just uses it for his own releases im not sure if there are any other artists on the label. Mutek in Montreal>? madd jealous…did you see dubfire too or did he not play?
Dubfire is definitely not someone I would associate with Mutek and what they are doing there, but I could be wrong there.

well i think dubfire was in montreal around the same time as mutek whether he particpated in it im not sure but he did play a show at like a beach party thing i believe.

No problem, took me all of about 10 minutes looking at what other people bought on Beatport and things on compilations with him that didn’t have the word Ibiza in the title.
