Yo DJTT my MAC used to be blazin fast, however over the last couple of weeks since I used the NI Service Centre to update Traktor etc it’s became pretty laggy when I first load up my laptop. Safari for example likes to lock up for a few seconds when I first use my computer. This never happened a few weeks ago. Iv been to the “Login Items” settings and noticed the NIHardwareManager is set to load up when I login. This must be recent as I have never noticed it before. Anyway, i’m blaming that for the laggy manor.
Theres a problem though… I have no use for it and it won’t remove from the login items. Every time I remove it, it reappears when I reboot my laptop. how do I fully un-install it?
There must be a proper way of un-installing this program. If I was on windows I would find it under the add/remove programs menu, I just don’t know the equivalent on MAC?
NIHardware Agent has been there since v1.2 i think.
If you run any NI hardware its essential and will load when you start Traktor.
Ive never heard of it slowing a Mac down though.
Its a part of Controller Manager.
If you dont run any NI hardware (not inc A8) or use Controller Manger you can disable it but you may have to uninstall Controller Manager or will reappear.
