I just typed the product name into amazon and found it listed at that price from musician’s friend, but if I look now it’s not there and Musician’s Friend isn’t even listed in the list of sellers. So I’m guessing it was a mistake that they corrected; wonder if they’ll honor the sale… He must have edited the pic though because when I read it earlier the pic showed price and seller (like $147!).

So, what was this about? Did he get excited because he just found Avid’s cheaper EuCon stuff? Or did someone accidentally list it on amazon marketplace for a stupid low price?
It’s the Avid artist mix control surface for $149. The listed savings is over $1000. I’ll be interested to see if they honor these sales…
Amazon would. If it’s someone selling on the Amazon marketplace, IDK if Amazon’s policies force them to or not.

I just “bought” one. I doubt the sale will be honored but I figure nothing is lost other than 30 seconds of button clicking and who knows?

Just got an email that my order was cancelled. They’re selling for $1207. Which is actually a decent but fair price.
Apparently Amazon’s policies don’t force MF to sell at a ridiculous loss.
I also just got the email. I think it’s funny that the reason cited for the cancellation was because the item was “out of stock.” Apparently they have plenty of mixers in stock for $1207 though.

Yeah all my orders just got canceled, which was strange since this morning musician’s friend customer support called me to confirm something and said it would be shipping soon so I got excited. Oh well.
I think we discussed this topic or similar at length some time ago and a seller can withdraw a sale if it was listed incorrectly. Its a myth that people have to sell at the price advertised although I know the buyers in this thread are savvy enough to know this anyway.
In the UK its called an “Invitation to buy” its not a contract by any means.
I feel like buying something else to drown my sorrow.
$1207 is still a decent price for those things. They’re supposed to be awesome.
I really wish I’d been able to talk my GC into price matching.

Yeah I demoed the last version way back, think it was the same thing just silver and euphonix branded they are pretty awesome. I would have been pretty happy if I just got one for personal use.
