i downloaded a track from beatport and the song starts exactly at 0:00, so traktors beat grid got all screwy
actually, there were 3 songs like this
i took two of the 3 and opened them in audacity and added 1 second of silence to it
so far, so good.
now this 3rd one. this ones a stinker
i import this 4 minute track into audacity and suddenly its slowed down so much that its now 20 minutes long. however traktor and itunes play it just fine.
I had an issue liek that last year when purchasing an old track off of BP. The song also imported into Audacity in mono. I just played the track out as a wav in Traktor and called it a day
no, its a half beat too far. if i try to set the marker (with snap off) it wont set it where i want it, but instead put it where that first grid line is.
if its right at the start sometimes you cant pull the grid back far enough. in your case i would drop the grid 7 beats up and store a loop there as well, assuming its just the one beat you are missing that is.
^This. Also store a cue point at the first proper impact part of the tune (either a breakdown or actual transition) if it only has a short intro then you can jump straight off the loop when you need to without losing time to mix in.
well, this is a vocal intro… and i thought of starting at a later time. it just wont sound right (its dubstep, so its not like i can loop bass kicks or something else thats steady)
and i forgot who it was, but he got it right. i cant pull the grid back enough.
