Not using the pro version of Traktor

Hi there.
I was wondering what difference it would make since I do not use the pro version of the tractor? please help me :slight_smile:

There is a comparison chart in NI’s site that lists the differences between Traktor’s versions.

would it ruin the whole experience at a midi fighter because I do not have as many effects as there are in the pro version?

i’m not using the pro version, but can i get the pro version and still use it on my sound card thats not pro version?

it doesnt matter what soundcard you have.. every soundcard should work with both versions.

Not sure you’d even be able to use a MF with Traktor LE as you can’t load mappings.

no, cause the duo version has only 6 effects.

might are exactly the same as in the IG mapping, not sure though.

There is NO such thing as “Traktor Scratch 2”

What exact version are you using? It will say at the top left of the screen.

To use a “scratch” version you need to be using/owning an NI Soundcard or Certified Mixer.

Have you just got Traktor DJ Studio 2.5 ?

If you clarify what version it is then we can help.

thanks! i use traktor scratch duo. i use it for my mixing, which means that i have an NI soundcard mate :slight_smile:

I run duo atm yep you can use a midi fighter / x1 ect only thing lacking from pro is extra effects / 4 decks / internal record / loop record ect ect

actually im still on 1.27 I think not even got sample decks :eek: tbh for 2 deck mixing thats all I need :sunglasses:

think so he is only using a beat masher and maybe the gater ?

so you dont use the pro version? dont you miss the effects? i dont need 4 decks since i only have a 2 channel mixer :slight_smile:

No I use Traktor scratch duo 1.2.7 with an audio 4 sound card at home all I have is two technics and a vestax 06 mixer when i play out I tend to use 2 cdjs and a djm 800 and use the effects on the mixer . ( mostly house music )

Have been meaning to grab the pro upgrade have the demo installed been playing around with all them effects ect

I would say if you grab a midi fighter its worth upgrading but you can still do cue point juggles and some basic effects stuff with what you have already

I am kinda holding out to see what 2.5 is all about tbh :slight_smile: not up for paying for the upgrade then having to pay for 2.5 as well ! a month or so later
