In its physical form the Monome will never been beaten.
Aesthetically its still way above the rest.
Im sure the Launchpad does a trillion more things but a beautiful thing is always a beautiful.
I think the guy in the Demo Video is on amphetamine. Sounds like a load of electric drills falling down a flight stairs.

do you reckon it will work with traktor? for the fx and looping? I love the look of this thing but don’t have ableton, nightmare!

Jo3: Ean will be doing something on the blog soon testing the Launchpad with Traktor. It has to run in conjunction though with Novation’s Automap software, so a key will be how well Automap interfaces with Traktor: hopefully, very well!

i totally agree with the CDM assessment .. the monome is for people that really want to get their into the hard and software of things .. to them the open source nature is key and of course the monome is physically just darn beautiful.
Dont wanna put a negative edge on all this but, ew, Automap has been nothing but trouble for a lot of traktor3 users. Theres 100s of pages covering these woes.
hopefully they will have made a much more reliable version of automap for the Launchpad.
any news on wether this things works ok with traktor pro?
