Numark Mixtrack

While it is true that sometime individual components don’t play nice, you should be able to solve most problems except overheating (and even that’s debatable).

If you’re having USB problems instead of trying a powered hub, just install a USB pcmcia card. That would create a completely different USB bus on your laptop.

I’ve been DJing with a 1.8 core duo Dell with 2gb and Vista every weekend for almost 3 years problem-free…using both external control vinyl and midi controllers.

I’ve even successfully done gigs using both Traktor and Torq on my little netbook and that’s just a 800mhz celeron with 1gb of ram and XP.

All using the internal hard drives and the audio interface set at the lowest latency.

DJ software really shouldn’t be very CPU or memory intensive in comparison to other audio software playing huge multitracks with all kinds of effects and audio instruments.

All your really doing is playing a couple of MP3s.

I use my net book as well it seems to run just fine doing simple 2 deck mixing. It only has one 1gb of ram but i have a 2gb stick on the way. I would not rec mixing on one tho. I plan on upgrading when i get out of school.

Im using the mixtrack pro with virtual dj 7 pro. Ive been trying to configure the rca outputs so I can run a set to my speakers and the input for the club/house speakers. ive been unable to do so. I want to get the perfect mix between the two sets. The house speakers are quite low so it looks like I will be splitting the master out using y’s and running one side to my speakers and the other side to a mixer to boost the signal and then from the mixer to the house. Has anyone else ran into trouble using when trying to use this device with multiple outputs?

also i remapped the device simliar to that of the total control (which Is what i used before) but i still havent come up with a solution to kill switched, triggering the sampler, or the filter…suggestions???
