Just rotatethe LPD8 90 degrees, done!

^^^ no because the rotary pots center would be rotated 90 too. This is pretty nice. Looks like it might be metal? I’d rather have the xone:k2 though.

Just grab a marker and make you’re own “notch” at 12 o’clock, done.

Or change the knobs… Those I use on mines have a small plastic insert inside allowing to set the knob notch on 4 diffeRENT AGLES Therefore, replicating Numark thing is doable .

Metal finish looks great though…

Ah, cheers guys! I didn’t know you could rotate those knobs. Looks like my lpd8 just became more useful and more easily mapped! Believe it or not orientation makes a huge difference in mapping.

i think numark is just trying to troll us for the lulz

You can’t rotated the original one I changed mine `cause the original one were a pain to work with, no solid grip…

i changed the caps on mine too - doesnt change where the start and end points of the actual pots are tho.

i haven’t pulled mine apart so don’t know how easy it would be to desolder the pots and rotate etc - i presume you’d need to do that?

pot orientation (sounds like an intro to smoking :stuck_out_tongue:) is better on the numark one if used vertically - but i don’t have any real issues using my lpd8 that way round - don’t tend to use it vertically tho i guess. it tends to just sit on my laptop 99% of the time so i always have some midi input avail…

Well this has given me a good laugh. :stuck_out_tongue:

Doesn’t bother me much, though. The first time I saw the Ion Audio Discovery Keyboard, I was like, “Hey, this looks A LOT like Akai’s LPK25.” Later, through more research, I found they’re owned by the same person: [ame=“Alesis - Wikipedia”]Alesis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Alesis_logo.png" class=“image”><img alt=“Alesis logo.png” src=“http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/f/fe/Alesis_logo.png/250px-Alesis_logo.png”@@AMEPARAM@@en/thumb/f/fe/Alesis_logo.png/250px-Alesis_logo.png[/ame]

Fuck if I care about it being original or not, i presume this will be an itch product meaning the sp6 will become usable enough to stop using an external sampler

Holy shit, it’s not that hard guys! Rotate the damn LPD8 90 degrees, and then use it like normal and just remember that when the notch is at 9 o’clock it’s actually at 12 o’clock.

It’s all relative, you’ll still get the same range of motion on it so it will still work just fine.

BUT, if you guys are still going to buy the NSP6 I’d be more than happy to buy your LPD8’s
