Hi everyone, this is my first post.
I’ve been wanting to buy a midi controller for a while now and I have just been stuck between the Numark omni control and the ADJ vms4 (yes i know, not many people have tried it out).
I am interested primarily in mixing with a little bit of scratching (for fun) here and there.
I would just like to know your opinions between the Numark and the ADJ, and the pros and cons of each of them.
(I know that there are many VCI fans here, but im not interested in it)
Alright, well as I said im not interested in the VCI simply because you dont get the bang for buck in europe.
Im leaning to the VMS4 anyway, thanks for the help.
I didn’t think they were available yet, but it looks like you ordered yours about 2 months ago. Did you get it yet, and if so, what do you think? I am considering buying one as well.
Sadly it is still not available, i canceled my order a while back because i didnt see the point in ordering so soon and also i want to try before i buy
Let me explain to you why the VMS4 should not even be compared to the Omni Control. The Numark Omni Control is half the price of the VMS4 because it has practically half the features. VMS4 has four midi/log channels, allowing you to do endless configurations, like having four tracks on traktor completely controlled, or three tracks and your ipod on the fourth track, etc… Omni control does not. VMS4 has touch strips to either do needle drops within a song (similar to the feature on the $1200 Numark NS7), or modulate effects. Omni control does not. VMS4 has 2 mic inputs with EQ’s on both, XLR outputs, DUal loop sections, a touch pad built in and a crossfader section capable of accepting an innofader. Omni Control does not. Take a look at both of them lit up in the dark, for the love of God!, the VMS4 looks insane. To put this in persepective, me and you both have the same problem. I’m deciding between the VMS4 and the NS7. The VMS4 CLEARLY beats the Omni Control, and the NS7 CLEArly Beats the VMS4. What we need to decide is whether or not we are willing to pay double the amount of the worse controller for slightly more high end features.
Well for me I was simply trying to find the best product to fit my type of use at the time, which one which I would simply use from time to time for a bit of fun and by no means anything serious or professional. In terms of quality and bang-for-buck it is obvious that the VMS4 is better. However since my last post I’ve been really busy and only really been focused on producing in my spare time.
Quality wise yes, feature wise…mehh its debatable in my opinion.
(to everyone)
Personally I think too many people are looking for the “best product” on the market or at least in their price range(most of the time the most expensive)
instead for something that suits their use, however again this is just a very general opinion so don’t take any offence
