That’s EXACTLY how I feel. I’m not against underground styles becoming mainstream, it’s just when it becomes mainstream and IDIOTS ruin it that pisses me off. I’m not the biggest fan of Dutch Electro but I could listen to it. But now I walk down the street having a smoke and I see 12 year old kids “shuffling” to LMFAO. I enjoy pretty much EVERY kind of electronic music as long as it’s in a pure form that hasn’t been ruined by asshole kids who are trying to too hard to be trendy. I dunno, maybe it’s not the worst thing in the world but I find it extremely irritating.

haha leave it to the us to turn good music into complete trash hahaha nah only jokin but seriously ever since guys like skrillex arrived it seems like everyone here in north america thinks there a dubstep expert while the truth remains that true dubstep is from tha uk and i trust that the best dubstep tunes to always come from there
I find it became a cliche of itself in under a year, once everyone found out how to do wobble bass in massive and sequence the lfo’s. I can still listen to burial and appreciate good electronic music, but dubstep as a broad genre isnt for me, especially now that brittany and gaga have incorporated it into their “songs”
and the dancing was off. some guy looked like he was playing bowling, suppose the fact that it was all lads shows whats wrong with the genre too, nothing for the ladies to latch on to. electronics musics version of heavy metal is how i think of dubstep.
