Sounds a lot like some places in South Beach. Girls free, men $100. Needless to say they’re not really places I would want to go anyway… I’ve also heard of the same places charging $100 for fat chicks.

There’s some events around here that are “ladies free” and men like $10. Seems to be something that happens every so often.
Would I even pay $40 to see deadmau5? Probably not. So this is the market audience with big $$ and wanting to go to such things. It’s a tough thing when dealing with private places, and who they want to cater to.
I know about girls getting in for free and drinking for free while still charging the guys a minimal cover. But this is a bit too much. $150 just to get in vs $40 for the females? Outrageous

Been to XS both times I’ve been to Vegas. The first time we got there quite late, had to queue for about an hour, then they said guys are $100 (it was $50 when we arrived), the girl in front of me still just paid what it originally was for them - $30. It’s a way of attracting a better girl:guy ratio which you can’t complain about too much in a way. We still paid it because 1. We’d queued for so long and 2. On the plane over we saw a ‘Top 10 clubs in the world’ feature in a magazine and XS was one of them.
The second time I went we saw Steve Aoki (not usually my kind of music but perfect for Vegas), but got there early and paid $30 without queueing.
Both times we gave the $10,000 cocktail with ‘free’ diamond necklace a miss.

My sister in law and her cousin were offered free entrance by a bouncer as they walked past that club. My brother on the other hand was told he had to pay 50 bucks, needless to say they didnt go in.
This is fucked up… Either you have to be a rich guy or you can’t attend.

At a place like XS though that’s kind of the idea. There’s no point letting people in for $10 then them complaining at the $20 drinks. It’s a way of attracting the clientèle you’re after. It’s a few steps up from dress code policies in that regard. It’s the grandest club in Las Vegas after all. A place expensive at the best of times!
And anyway, you get to take a leak on a cushion.

Over here on a decent night it’s guys free till 1am, girls free till 2am. For the record, clubs don’t close until at least 7am. Bigger nights have a regular ticket.

thats kinda fucked up, but I can see it happening that hard in Vegas. I’ve been to guys pay 25 girls get in free kinda things but that was my limit. 3x? fuck that i’ll wrap my head in christmas lights and jam on the sidewalk outside

Doorly played at that club and flipped on Twitter when the bouncers wouldn’t let him in at first because he was wearing shorts. Eventually after much argument he said he got in and played, but stated it was a bad club experience.
He is the headliner, no matter what the dress code of the club it’s being a complete jobs worth . .
