Older Macbook running Ableton Live 8 + VST… Does it work good?

Hi,

Anyone with some experience with an older Macbook (base) running Ableton Live 8 and some vst’s (like deckadance for example). A Macbook 07’ - 08’ could run me 500$ and has core duo or sometimes core 2 duo processors but it also only got a 5400rpm HD…

I am helping out a friend on a tight budget.

Blackie (aka black mb 2ghz 2gb ram) runs ableton 8 with no problem.
