On Stage & In The Studio | What Works

Hey guys!
My brother and I are looking for equipment to use in the studio and at gigs.
We were looking at buying a Maschine and a Push.(we want to get into live performances)
I was wondering what would be the best option soundcard wise and what would be a good way to have our sessions MIDI synced(It would be between 2 PCs ). I know Maschine has MIDI I/O but Push doesn’t.

You can usually only run one soundcard to one PC at a time, so you’ll probably need one each. Most decent soundcards have a MIDI I/O, so just use that for syncing your sequencers together. You can then both use your controllers (Maschine, Push) to control your sequencers (that are now synced).

There are plenty of decently priced smaller soundcards you can use, both USB and FW. Like this one: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Scarlett2i4/

Then you also have balanced outputs you can use for both in the studio & on stage.

Just use Abletom Live on one pc, and both have your own dedicated tracks. No need for a soundcard - All mixing would be done internally

I have the m-audio m-track wich has balanced output so I should be fine? The reason I ask is because I’m worried about the volume that this soundcard can provide. I want to be sure that I can get enough volume out of it.

Thanks en greetings from holland. Keep up the good work.
