Watching that tsunami wave approaching makes you realise how ineffectual we really are - thoughts and prayers Japan.
First the 'quake, now this - thoughts and prayers Jes.
I cowered in the doorway to the shower like a little girl (with my bicycle helmet on). Thankfully the epicenter was some 350km away from Tokyo (where literally 1/3 of the population is on any given work day). It was still scary. What got me all bothered was that it didn’t hit hard and fade. To put it into DJ terms, there was quite a build up. In fact, I was IM’ing my friend something like, “oh, Earthquake…3rd in like 5 days!” when I realized that it was getting more and more intense. The feeling of not knowing how far it would go is what sucked. Getting whacked w/ a sizeable aftershock while the siren was going off didn’t help either.

They get quakes that way occasionally, but I never feel them. Not sure about b3n though.
