I have a 2008 Honda Fit V4 117 HP. When I bought it the window sticker stated 31 MPH CITY/34 MPG HiGHWAY and I average 27 MPG. The best I ever got was 31 MPG on a road trip straight highway at 70 MPH.
We should be able to issue a class action law suit on this crap.
Yeahhh Hahaha they TECHNICALLY paid back what they owe, and now the US is the proud owner of way too many shares of the company, their hope was that when GM recuperated (If it does fully) they would be able to sell the shares and make a profit what a load of shhhhh
hahaha, I think my uncle gets about 11 on his Jeep Willie… granted its restored from its 1944 condition, has a corvette engine in it, and tops out at 40 mph hahaha.
my father in-law grabbed one (challenger) of the first off the line, just before production stopped for a bit there. Thing is a gas hound.
I drive a 2003 crysler intrpid SE and only spend 30$ a week in gas travel to and from school/work and the grocery / beer store on fridays, not to bad there
Once upon a time the Mustang was a beautiful car. Elegant and a boys wet dream.
Now it looks like a fucking Sherman Tank.
What is it with these big lifeless muscle cars.
The British motor industry has almost disappeared and from what ive read the American motor industry is churning out cars made from cheap thin steal with plastic everywhere. The back end of the latest Mustang is mainly plastic.
Sad times for both countries.
This is a really beautiful car and along with the AC Cobra the only car that looks good with stripes (of course with the original Mini the greatest car ever made).
i agree, but we’d never win. they’d cry every little environmental difference down to the barometric pressure differences in the areas you were driving in, and the cleanliness of the nozzle you filled your tank with as to why it’s not performing up to their claims. i read about a study that showed NONE of the car manufacturers advertised a solid MPG rating except maybe toyota..and they’ve got some problems of their own (which are a bit more serious than a couple MPGs off).
just waiting for the day when we all travel through tubes:
I’m still slightly stunned that US cars are so massively inefficient - I’ve got a Honda Civic Type S (only 160bhp I think?) that is fairly good fun and does 35mpg, and that’s pretty poor in the UK these days (though at the mo petrol is £1.20 a litre)
I suppose with petrol being so cheap over there, there’s no incentive to change …
My current Chrysler 300 gets about 22 around town, 25 highway. And that highway is fully loaded with big Adult guys going on a roadtrip to Key West and back and being comfortable the entire time.
The 300:
My wife drives a Hyundai Accent and it gets great gas mileage, but that’s what we bought it for.
Different cars for different reasons, but as long as you are happy with it that’s all that matters.
… and the 300 looks pretty fly too. (And yes, those are both actual pictures of my own vehicles.)
