i knows, im looking at a chinese elm. i can get one for like 30 pounds here in the UK. i will send pics. i really want a japanese white pine. but the only way to get one is to buy seeds and grow them. which takes like 10 years. looking for something a bit less long term. so yeah, chinese elm… pic below. i will share pics when i get mine.

My mom did bonsai while I was growing up. They are really special but require a LOT of maintenance. The thing that always bugged me was the tying of the roots, it just seem cruel. Like the way the Chinese would tie the feet of baby girls so they would have “beautiful” arched feet, but they could never walk…
