OT - DIY modding inspiration

Anyone ever checked out the PC casemod scene before? Check the forums on bit-tech.net, but particularly threads like:

Even if you’re not into this kind of (pretty nerdy!) stuff (but you are into DIY midi controllers), you should check these threads out anyway. The level of detail and the sheer engineering skill these guys achieve is really next level imo. Imagine if they turned their hands to a custom midi controller?

Another similar thing is the flightsim cockpit building scene.

The top is a dope rig prolly runs 90 degrees farenheight.

bottom rig is a shit load worth of money to build.

I’m a regular reader of Custom PC magazine. I’ve seen a lot of this type of work and I have taught myself to build my own pc’s. I even built one in to an old 1210 case, I’ve still got it in the house and it runs Traktor really well, since it’s the only program that I’ve put on it.

dude, just spent literally 2 hours (while I should have been concentrating on a conference call) looking through that POLARity thread. Incredible!

Just spent an hour reading it got to the end and its not finished *bookmarks

yeah I read through that whole thread over an afternoon a couple of weeks ago… really next level modding isn’t it? even if you’re not into pc case mods, purely from a hardware/engineering perspective it’s very impressive.

Ahhh, and to think my past had escaped me.

I’ve spent a great deal of time some years ago on computer modding. XS anyone?

Very nice mods, I had not seen the hulk one yet.
