OT: Life Without Internet…

… is the worst thing ever.

I’ve just moved house and my Internet provider has messed up my order to change phone numbers/address.

They take 6-10 days to process the order but they messed it so I lost a week so I’m looking at 2 weeks without connection apart from 3G on my iPhone.

It’s agony…

I’ve had uninterupted Internet for as long as I care to mention. It’s like losing a limb (altho obviously it isn’t at all but).

Anyone else had to endure a period with no webernet..?

Ooh and I’ve had a few PMs this week. Will get round to answering them when I go to my sisters and use her connection.

There is no sad face emoticon that does justice to my misery :disappointed:

lolz (not at you)..

but at remembering my two month stretch without constant access. i got by on my neighbors unprotected router for some time but that was slow and inconsistent at best.

yep it’s like losing an appendage. have moved something like 10+ times in the last few years so have had to go without on several occasions. godspeed!

had it back in feb when i moved into this flat, did mange to find a couple of routers with my wifi that weren’t secure, but had to sit right next to lounge window, with laptop at an odd angle, to get a good enough signal.

worth it though even if sometimes it did only hold for a few mins

Move to Singapore. free wifi for all. Despotic government, but hey.

i know how u feel,i moved to madird last month got my iphone robbed the first week now cant get broardband untill i get a ime number witch i cant get till jan,so useing mobile dongle internet witch aint fast but at least its something

well i’m on a lightning fast sub 64kbps for the next 10 days so i feel your pain mate. just when i have a new mix to up as well, fuck it all.

I remember when my dad moved, he had no internet for I think 4 months. So every month he went to a store to get a free one month trial of high speed 3G with a USB modem. He explained the problem to the guy at the store, who would just keep giving him another free trial :stuck_out_tongue: Sadly, where he lives there’s only GPRS available, they were 4 long months…
