I couldn’t share last night, since I was super tired and had / have a ton of studying to do but I just wanted to share that I played my first bar / lounge gig last night and it was phenomenal.
The venue was a very small intimate place. In fact if you didn’t know about the place 99.99% of the people would drive straight passed the lounge. When I entered the first things I noticed were that the extremely intimate but really really nice. Very nice seating arrangements, great candle lit lighting and all around an awesome place. I know i’ll be taking girls there.
Anyway on to the set, so I played for an hour and fifteen minutes of progressive house since that was my a lotted time and the venue’s genre and all I can say is when I looked around I saw everyone enjoying the music and having great conversations and a good time.
It was an amazing all around experience, even though I played progressive house which is not my first pick of music I truly enjoyed playing and am truly jelly of all of you guys with residencies!
Thanks Chris. It’s visiting San Fran area for the summer, i’m from down here. I just have a ton of family up there. I prefer spinning electro house and dubstep.
Honestly when I was browsing through tracks and looking to find progressive tracks at first I was like “ehh”, then I realized it’s actually not bad at all to just have as either background music when you’re hanging out with friends and what not or maybe even while you’re doing your homework. I actually enjoyed playing it too.
I’ll be playing something of the sort when I play on my radio station this week.
I’m a little more into prog trance but like you say prog house is great background music and easy listening. Good to listen to lying on a beach or by the pool. IMO!
Cool bro’! Glad you’re looking into progressive a little more. I always felt it, spinning progressive house, brought some more depth into spinning tunes!
if you like, I can hook you up with a few progressive sets of me and my boy. Who knows, you might actually find some tunes you like.

[/quote]Cold ill pm you all my progressive tracks in a list.
Yeah, pretty much whenever I want on any given Sunday lol. It’s just that Sundays are bad days for me since I have 15 hour days on Mondays. I am however playing at a bigger bar this Thursday (I believe - it’s like a 50% chance).
I’m pretty excited about it, hopefully I get to spin!
