OT: quit playing in a band

yep like the title says. after playing drums in hardcore bands for like 13 years i had my last show on saturday in berlin with my band vyst.
feels really strange not having to eat disgusting vegan food anymore in fucked up squats surounded by crustpunx and dogs :slight_smile:
i had a great time in the last years with my band, but i came to the point, that i like to focus more and more on electronic music. and i can´t really pay both (drums, dj stuff)

but i´ll never quit listening to hardcore and i´ll never quit playing drums. but for now the drums are retired…

good thing is we gladly found a talented drummer so that they don´t have to split up the band.

LoLz… nah, guess not. But I have to say I’m partly glad you stopped drums, otherwise I would have to miss you on here, my favourite forum Panda!

Trust me, over the years your musical focus will change greatly, though at one point, you might actually have a small drumming stint again. :wink:

like i said playing drums is just retired. until i saved enough for a roland v-drum. i wanna produce beats so badly!

then i still have the problem of not having enough space in my room for a drumkit…and renting a rehearsal room/ studio is a no no right now, cause of the rents

Oh that’ll do it. You could always build a drum kit out of metal pipes and hook up midi triggers :stuck_out_tongue:
