So yeah, it’s been about three and a half years since In Rainbows so it’s about time.
Why am I spamming about this? Cause, oddly enough Radiohead got me into electronic music and have probably been my biggest and most consistent musical influence / interest.
Am I excited? Hell yes. I got a week of hell ahead of me with a gig and this album at the end of it… there is light at the end of the long dark tunnel.
I’ll be doing this on friday after my midterms are done.
Gonna be a nice addition to my Radiohead collection … still need to get the special edition of Kid A though.
I was in the library when I found out, my squeal of excitement drew some puzzled looks… when In Rainbows came out I listened to nothing else for a week. Radiohead are one of the only bands who I think I will ALWAYS enjoy. Other music comes and goes, but Radiohead are pretty timeless.
+1, Radiohead is some timeless stuff! I got the In Rainbows discbox and pre-ordered it the day it became available, and yeah, same thing listened to it for a week straight, so good!
Definitely one of the best bands I’ve seen live. Especially headlining Glastonbury in the mid 90s!
Kind of lost their way a bit in the middle (Kid A and Amnesiac eras) with the exception of a couple of good songs but seem to have started getting it back together with 2+2=5 and Rainbows.
… still need to get the special edition of Kid A though.
