After playing competitive starcraft for 4 years on and off, I am very sad to see sc2 come out. I tested it for one month…big yawns. Game mechanics are terrible.
Actually about 5 months ago, I was at a crossroads. Upgrade my comp for sc2 or put that money into a new hobby…lol you can guess what decision I chose based on this website..
wow, I didn’t expect that before xma$. and in the middle of my exam session, too. guess it will have to wait, but then we’ve waited 12 years for it anyway so what’s a couple of weeks… sigh it’s a pity I don’t have time to really get into it, but it’s an RTS so I’d have to practice builds for weeks to keep up with a very good friend of mine (who is korean and therefore doesn’t need to practice starcraft).
the only game that probably will get my undivided attention is hl2ep3/portal2.
well if u have at least the latest macbook (the one with the nvidia 320m) u should be able to run it. even the last generation macbook and 13 inch mbp with the 9400 can run it

lol have you ever played sc on a mac? The hotkeys don’t translate at all. My apm (actions per minute) would drop to like 50 from 200 where I last left off. My sc days are over. I can’t practice builds and timing for 12 hours a day anymore, too much of a waste of time. Not to mention sc2 has no attack move, less high ground advantage, and overpowered mid-tier units…etc.. I can go on for hours but I will stop now

it has everything you said it doesn’t now lol anyways its fun way to kill time but i wouldnt play it to play competitive, maybe a game here or there every now and then when im sick of music hunting haha

No I know. Protess could tear shit up. I was just referencing the fact that a lot of noobs (myself included) relied heavily on carriers back in the day!
it was all about terran battle cruisers with a few cloaked wraiths flanking them, coupled with a pure ghost ground assualt with 5 or 6 nuke silos on stand by
Oh yeah well my first priority was always build as many missile turrets (I can’t remember what they’re called right now). Rendering your cloaking devices useless!

There was this guy that played with us…he was the only one who would ever play Terran.
But he would FUCK us up!!..not always…but gave a good go!

I played the beta for a time.
And let me tell you, there is NO learning curve for terran.
I played them and after a few matches i was WHOPIN’ MAJOR ASS.
If it was a long match, I would have mad defenses and attack with some 20 battlecruisers.
If it was short I would Destroy with marines and tanks.
If it was medium THORS ALL THE WAY!
