also if you are a OTUS & Traktor 1.2.1 user..
have any of you been able to get in touch with EKS..!!
i’m starting to think i’m all alone in the dark with this set up..!!!
i’ve built a new TSI set.
its working..
just got something weird happening ..
my deck A is bugging..
if i touch the plater centre and stop the track playing, it dont start again ..
i think it thinks i’m holding it..
ive set it the same as deck B..
i even deleted every ch1 & deck A and dupilcated all the ch2 & deck B setting and set every one the same..
so it was the matching ..
everything is rocking.. .. all but the deck A plater centre touch.!
go into the xmapper and into the editor of ur current profile and se if ther is anything that could indicate that there is an autorepeat on the platter/scratch
currently, eks are asking otus users to hold off on the 1.2 upgrade until they work out a firmware solution to deal with the rearranging ni did with some of the low level functions of traktor (mostly the new midi mapping setup).
notorious eks users boogie pimps, though, have posted their working otus mapping for 1.2 on their myspace blog. give it a shot and see if you can see what they did to make it work.
well as I just got me a 2nd Otus I had to redo my mapping for 1.2.1 but it works fine and i have no issues with it, its nothin fancy, just standard play and loop stuff, but it works just fine
if you have a play with it and re set anything to make it a better file let me know..
i bet its something real simple..
just a reminder of whats going on with it..

yep i set the xmapper to traktor pro… but i’m still not sure its set right..
did i send you my xmapper setting to..?
thing to test..!
everything seems to works fine…!
but if you touch the top off the platter (in deck A mode)
couple of different errors will happen..!!!
i will touch the top as if to pull it back and scratch it or cue it .
when i let it go it just dont take of ..like a turntable would..
.. then i will give it a second tap and it will start..after a little delay..!
what is your setting called in traktor for adusting the deck top..
maybe i’m missing something??
k, now I see what u mean, but I cant tell u whats happenin,
BUT I do know that sometimes one of my decks can stop when pressing play, but as Im usin the master clock set to internal mode and usualy mix to that, so if it stops the phase meter goes bonkers and flips all over the place, but this is usualy solved with a nudge to the side of the platter, so its not a problem rly, cna u test and se if the same happens to u?
so when it has stoped like that, and u move the outside(pitchbend part) does it “release” and continue to play?
cuz its strange that it only occurs on 1 of the layers
have u tryed using a different midichannel on deck a? <–wild guess but it might work
and I do rly suggest that u send the link of the video to EKS and have them look at it
i’m swapping over just deck A to midi ch 3 at the mo.. everything seems to be working.. so far..
testing as i go..
all i have left to add knobs controls .. EG: EQ.. Filter.. etc..etc..
hehe cool we got it workin, but thats rly strange that it works on midi channels 2 and 3 and that it behaves strange and u get that stop bug on channel 1, it would be good if we could get some feedback from EKS or any1 who has some idea about how midi works
yep go fig… that hey..
so now i have deck A on ch3 and beck B on ch 2,
yes it would… good to get some feedback from EKS
hello any EKS massive out there???
ok.. people..
its fixed..!with no logic..
wooooo hooooo!
i changed every controller tagged to Deck A ch 1 Deck A ch 3
don’t ask me why how or what.. but its working now!
there is some issue from otus to traktor or traktor the otus..
its some kinda midi conflict I’d say.!
Good news is if you’re having this problem
Just go the controller mapping and change everything tagged to Deck A ch 1 to Deck A ch 3 (or 5 or 6.. if you using a 4 deck set up!
cheers
Brewster
oh and a big thanks to other1 for his help..!
if it was not for his help i would givin up by now..!
