Our first gig is tonight.....

Our first gig is tonight…

OMG. :tada: It is finally going to happen in front of 200-300 people, our first gig. And now it is hitting me, has the practice the last year and half been enough? Will we screw up? Most likely. Will it be embarrassing? Hopefully not…

Sweating bullets…:open_mouth:

Dude that’s awesome! Contgrats and good luck, I’m sure you guys will kill it.

good luck!

Wish you luck tonight! Finger crossed

1st gig is a bit like first time you have sex.

Technically probably not the best but there is nothing like the first time

where is it and what kind of party?

Good luck mate!

It is in Germany. Limbach (Saarland) is the town. It is a small concert with a live band playing contemporary rock and top 40 and we’ll come in after them to close the show. It might be a small clash in styles, but it will be fun none the less.

Thanks everyone for the nice wishes and for the help. If it weren’t for this community and the ideas and lessons I’ve learned here, we definitely wouldn’t be so far. I’ll post some pictures and if it is really rowdy and successful, maybe even a video.

So how did it go!?

good luck man!

How did it go?

Well, it was a successful night from a DJ standpoint. We didn’t make any major mistakes and even helped the band with the lighting to give their act a bit more energy. But, the 2-300 hundred people ended up to be about 150 and when the band finished about half of the crowd left right when they finished. So we didn’t have the biggest crowd to perform to. But, even though the crowd was small, we rocked and even got some compliments. It was a lot of fun and a great experience. We are really looking forward to the next gig, which my son was selling as hard as he could. Looks like he’s the salesman between us. I even got to use my effects mapping and nobody looked up at me wondering what the hell just happened. LOL! Now to go tear down he rest of the equipment.

Sounds like a great first gig! Excellent work. Now comes the fun part of getting better and getting people to come see you!
