Oxygen 8 loop question.

Not sure if this should be here or the mappings section, but whatever. I got my oxygen 8 v2 in the mail on thursday, and I have been messing with it for a while. I understand most of eans mapping, but the looping section baffles me. When I press the 8 count loop key, it works fine, but I can’t start a loop at say, 1/16 by using the loop activate key. It shows that the loop is activated:
but nothing actually happens. Is this even possible?

Is it me or your track is just not beat gridded at all?

As a note to engage a loop you need to send loop size/loop set command(s), just pushing an ‘active’ button won’t start a loop on the spot but will activate the next loop on the track’s path if there’s any.
