Paper overlays for Twister or Midi Fighter 3D

Paper overlays for Twister or Midi Fighter 3D

Trying to remember what every single knob or button does is a little challenging for me. I was thinking of creating a cheat sheet for myself and noticed that there’s just enough room on the Twister to possibly scribble some notes around the encoder rings.

I’m using Ableton and created some some racks that can cycle through 5 different effects with one knob: hard left, hard right, center, and then the spaces in between. For example: I have five different delays in one rack (each set to a different rate). I’d like to mark around the encoder what each one is without having to apply anything sticky to the surface of the twister.

Has anyone ever made a homemade paper overlay to go on top of their Twister or 3D and used it to jot down some notes?

If there are some better solutions, I’m all ears.

Thanks for the suggestion, Mostapha. I’m a seasoned dog and have spent a LOT of time working with console tape. The only problem is that it is semi-permanent. In order to put a new set of notes on the controller, you have to destroy what you currently have attached. You can take off a paper overlay, replace it with another and save them for future use.

Legit. IDK…I still like console tape for things like that, but I don’t really save it. Then again, I don’t really change mappings and go back to them.
