Pioneer ddj sx

Does anyone know if when using serato dj with the ddj sx, does the soundcard route audio to hardware mixer, or does the mixer section act as a midi controller for serato djs mixer?

the soundcard routes the audio to the hardware mixer

when you move the gain of each deck inside the serato dj software, the gain on the mixer is totally indepent, eg, send out a full red line from the serato dj software into deck A, if the hardware gain of deck a is zero you wont hear anything

the hardware mixers sums everything (including the analog inputs) to be summed up
