Pitch bend jog wheel on VCI100 backspins sometimes.
This happened recently, all of a sudden the outer plastic ring on the jog wheel, instead of pitch bending backwards it performed a backspin.
I made sure it wasn’t the mapping by trying different ones, same result every time. It’s not consistent and not at a certain spot on the wheel, it just happens whenever it feels like it kind of.
I tried screwing off the thing but everything inside seems to be intact, so I don’t know what could be causing this and more importantly, how to fix it.
Has anyone had this issue?
are you 100% sure you’re not touching the metal disc in the center?
I would use something like midi ox or bomes to monitor whats actually getting output by the VCI. If its actually outputting the wrong midi, then its likely a hardware fault with the unit itself.
+1
That will tell you if its a hardware or a software issue
If it a software thing something is wrong with your mapping
If its hardware then id try making sure the jog wheel is clean inside and out
Everything looks fine in OX oddly enough. I decided to start digging in the machine, turns out the screws under the plate were a bit loose. I tightened them and now it seems to work.
