And it was an amazing feeling! I came home so amped at 5AM that I decided to do the firmware upgrade right then and there. Now I’m all setup with 1.4 and no problems.
They let me do a “test” night on Tuesday and the managers said after 2-3 more weeks, I’ll be moved to the Friday night spot! I’m pumped. Hearing your music/mixing/fx being played over a great sound system and seeing the crowd react really makes it all worth it.
Thank you DJTT for all the videos, the overlay, the DIY upgrade kit and everything else! I’d be miles behind if it wasn’t for this site.
Here is my current setup @ home that I’m using to practice my craft:
I play mostly House but I mixed in a few old school rap/hip-hop hits (Mobb Deep, Fugees, BIG, NWA, Ice Cube, Big Pun, etc) to please the crowd which they seemed to enjoy. The one guy I was really nervous about was the main bartender, he basically has the last say on who can DJ because most of the DJs who already play there are his friends, anyway he said I gave him an eargasm so I left with a smile on my face as well knowing my mission was accomplished.
