Playing for Munich Rangers on Saturday - never been to a Football Match

Hey guys,

here is the situation:
I have the chance to play for the munich rangers on saturday (yes, tomorrow!!!:eek:slight_smile: and i have never been to a football-match ever in my life (football is not that popular in germany yet) so i don’t have a clue what music to play or what awaits me there.

my buddy who plays for the rangers and helped me to this chance told me that i’d be playing before the game, throughout the halftime, and at the end.

  • after each move…

… i barely know the basic rules of the game.

as many of are from the states i’d really apprechiate a little advise!!

What does your friend normally play? Seems like he would be able to give you a good idea since he normally does it. My stereo type image of Germany is that you would play dark underground techno and everybody would love it, but I’m sure that’s not really true. :slight_smile:

Me thinks he’s talking about that American version of rugby where they keep stopping for a break all the time :slight_smile:

I’d be looking for a few crowd pleasers they can clap and sing along with to fill the time and keep the crowd interested while they keep stopping for a break and changing teams etc :wink:

Football not that big in Germany??? Are you aware that teams like Bayern Munich are amongst the cream of club football, recently knocking Inter Milan out of the Champions League and that German national team is historically the best international team overall after Brazil.

In terms of German football matches, they just seem to play Zombie Nation songs to no end in the Bundesliga, especially Kernkraft 400 riff after goals are scored.

Even their Zweite BundesLiga teams have a huge amount of fans go to the games… I watched FC Nurnberg play at the Frankenstadion a year and a half ago and they had a whole section filled with fans.

Bayern-München is one of the top teams in the UEFA Champions League. Fuck dude, Adolf Adidas was german and Adidas is a Germany based company…He basically invented the modern football cleat. I saw Lionel Messi get his F50 Adizero football cleats at a press conference at the Adidas factory right before the UEFA Championship Cup to… Football is huge in Germany.

basically play the hooks and big parts of popular songs in the area.

ive done a few HS football games and thats all ive done, its like the 15-20 seconds inbetween plays you gotta fill
