At Space120 in Palm Springs, where I saw 12th Planet and Skrillex play
so… I say “Yeah, I use Traktor”.
They say, “oh you use just your laptop?”
I say, “no, my laptop is just for playing the songs, cuz I have a mixer and play four decks and just touch the laptop to turn it on.”
what does the flyer say? “laptop set” lol I know its technically correct, but the way they say it is in that, “oh you don’t play vinyl” attitude..

why is it necessary to label what format each DJ plays? The only time I ever think that it really beneficial is to promote vinyl only nights. Seems like they would get more people into their club if they labeled what genre you all play.
Congrats mate. kick some old schoolers ass. that is the first flyer i’ve ever seen that shows what medium the artists are using. Seems rather wankish to me. Be sure to record your show if you can and let us hear it!

I recently got back on the ladder after a long break and switch to digital. Now got gigs til Feb booked and might be playing in Poland in March/ April. Couldn’t be happier!!
