Please help me find chilled drumstep like what I post in this thread

and this

I don’t know what producers/labels specialize in this sort of chilled (read: Not wobble garbage) drumstep, any info is appreciated

nobody has any artists or labels that do this sort of thing, the only stuff like this I can find generally is a Drum and Bass Producer making a one off tune on their album

Is “drumstep” a new genre?

The one thing I’ve hated the most about electronic music is the constant over-classification of sub-genre’s.

Seems like every time there’s a simple deviation, it’s grounds for creating a new sub-genre.

Makes me think of all the genre classifications that didn’t last.

Sorry to jack your thread, I was just curious about “drumstep”.

drumstep = dubstep (which is 140bpm usually) at around 174bpm (which is drum&bass’es turf). amazing genre.

this “liquid” drumstep isn’t too established yet. i will throw some in that i found browsing youtube later. can’t help you with labels, mate.

Its not chilled drumstep, its liquid drum & bass.

Hello Bigheadmikelove,
You can look for artists likes : Genotype and his album named Ritual Dance, Skeptical and a track named Police, Dj Hazard and his track named Wicked SO (a huge tune) Dub phizix and a track named Marka(a very very very brand new huge tune-probably the hugiest of the year:eek::eek::eek::smiley:), Mutated Form and a track named Wastegash…
Have good times…

When I was more into DNB most people referred to this as ‘halfstep’, whereas alot of people use ‘drumstep’ to mean dubstep with an emphasis on breaks and drum fills.

Most of what seydou_44 said is good stuff, also check Amit, DBridge and Digital.

I like the Calibre track. The bass & hi-hats give the 170bpm feel, but the main drum break is at half time. It’s just a two-step 170bpm kick-snare pattern away from liquid d&b. I fancy knocking some of this up with Maschine.

Exactly what I was thinking. Let us know if you do.

faceplam

Who cares what genre it is, it is what it is. enjoy…

Check out Fabriclive (50?) By D-Bridge and instra:mental for some ideas.

Sounds like a DNB build-up, but a whole track of it…? Quite nice to chill to though.
