I hope he has some kind of backup system… It’s not just a job they stole, but also his passion. I hope those lowlife scumsuckers get the living snot beaten out of them. Also, is this in the UK or elsewhere?

I live in Hamiton New Zealand, but it’s a small country so it’s possible it could be sold from anywhere in New Zealand. Cheers for your support :slight_smile:

Sorry to hear about this. As someone who had a similar thing happen about 3 years ago, I feel your pain. Hopefully you have better luck recovering yours than I did. I had about $3000 worth of stuff disappear :disappointed:

First step is to RUNNNN to the closest Apple store, they can locate your Macbook and you’ll probably find your gear there too.

P.S. How can you be stolen if you were dj’ing? Did you not stock your stuff in a safe room in the club? Does the club have any guarantee in your contract?

This is a good reminder for anyone who doesn’t have it. Get freaking renter/home owners insurance. It’s generally pretty cheap $15-30 a month. Then take pictures of your gear and email them to yourself every so often. If my place burns down, gets broken into, or any other horrible thing happens to it, the insurance company will write me a check. And it my case, it is a check for actual replacement value. I’ve only had to use it once (for a 3 year old laptop) and they ended up giving me more than what I originally payed for it.

Also make backups of your music or anything else that can’t be replaced with money and keep them some place other than your house. Well really if it is something you care about, you should have 3 copies: original, local backup and off-site backup, but that’s for another thread.

I really hope that this thread helps catch the a**holes that did this!
