Wifi is disabled, ACPI battery monitor is disabled. dpclat is all green and still I get tiny glitches. TSP is running v1.2.6 and I’m using the last bar one .tsi (i.e. not the FW1.4 version) I think it’s the glitch fix version though I’m not sure.
Running Win XP Pro SP3 on a Lenovo 3000 N500 (core 2 Duo with 2Gb RAM)
You can look in the drop down menu in the controller manager to see what tsi your using. If it’s not the glitch fix file you can try that. Other than that check your latency. I don;t really know anything about TSP, does it need to be calibrated? Can that cause pops?
A/V might be an option for switchoff - but I use the machine to broadcast an internet radio show once a fortnight, a little uncomfortable about going on the t’interweb without virus protection.
Well usually the first bit of advice people give with streamlining windows for audio is to turn your A/V off. Maybe make another boot partition for windows for your DJ profile where you don’t go online and don’t install A/V?
As long as your not downloading you shouldn’t have to worry about a virus getting on your computer. Just don’t check your email while doing the show. Firewall is another story while on the internet though.
Hmmm, when I bought the decks they had Stanton 500 v2s, with the most knackered stylii I’ve ever seen - I couldn’t find legit Stanton replacements (everywhere only stocked the v3, not the v2), so I got some no-name needles from eBay.
I have just bought a brand spanking new pair of Shure M44-7s though. Should be delivered tomorrow, and will hopefully rule this out as a problem.
