Post-mastering RAM increase… help?

So I just got through mastering a new song I’ve been working on and I’ve done everything the way I need it. I do the same thing to all my songs. Well a few minutes ago when I went to listen to the track the RAM went up exTREMELY high and started making crackly sounds when I was listening to it. Does it have something to do with some of my laptop specs? I have an AMD processor (don’t remember the exact model) and 4 GB of RAM. Could this have something to do with that? Let me know what y’all think, thanks.

How do you know your ram went up, how are you measuring that? I mean, Eww. :slight_smile:

Did you restart your computer?

Actually, I think it might have been the CPU, but I’m not exactly sure. In FL Studio theres a CPU monitor and it went up in the 60’s. Bad bad bad. And last night I turned it off so hopefully it makes it better

I’ve had it happen, then I would just re open the project and it would be ok again.

I’ve had this happen to me a couple of times. All I had to do was plug my power chord in and the RAM dropped dramatically.
