i pretty much just use Pandora for the most part. lame i know but it helps find new tunes sometimes
pandora is like Digitally Imported that you mentioned. You put in a genre or artist and it makes a radio station based on that information.
i just use the stock android player..yes i’m old fashioned & dont have much time to listen to something else…
but i use EQ apps
Pandora is a nice app I use it also.
I need to try an EQ app as I hate the iTunes EQ and never use it.
That’s why I started the thread. To discover good music related apps I didn’t have or know about. So let’s see some more.
Sir Sampleton - Lets you sample anything in real time and play it back on a keyboard on your screen.
Isn’t really good for much but its fun to waste time and mess around with
Sir Sampleton could be quite useful with iRig and a keyboard.
Songza is an interesting variation of the Pandora type music app. I’m going to give it a whirl.

(I myself don’t have a smartphone, but) Spotify - Music service that acts like iTunes, but you can listen to any music, even music that isn’t your own. You can add it to your library and listen whenever, wherever.
Spotify Radio - Free radio app from Spotify with no restrictions (IIRC)

i found this in another thread, but Figure by Propellerhead is a fun app to make some quick beats with
Take Five
Naxos Music Library (NML) and NML Jazz are fantastic.
Soundcloud
iMaschine
Figure
iStroboSoft - I have a few great tuners knocking around, but this app always works as a backup. It’s great.
Music Tool hasn’t been mentioned here before, but is compositionally useful.
Suggester is an interesting tool if you compose using changes (chord progressions, etc).
Otacon I did see the other thread. But thanks for posting it here! BTW where in Mississippi are you?
Botstein, thanks for the list. I’ll check them out.
