This Sunday I’m gonna run a half-marathon & I need some musical juice to keep me going.
Of course, the best thing about running is preparing the running mix. I’m looking for some new Power Songs to keep me going in those last painful miles (no Eye of the Tiger please).
Anything to keep my mind off stupid questions like “why am I subjecting myself to such pain?”. Preferably in the house, tribal vein would be great.
I’ve got about 100 nonstop, fixed-BPM mixes for runners at podrunner.com (click my sig), or on iTunes podcasts (search “podrunner”). They’re available between 130 and 180 BPM and average an hour each. That might help.
a yeah… this has been helpful. All those great artists: cinderella, cheap trick, hagar era van halen…god I never knew they existed (wish that was true).
sorry for asking. Steveboyett thanks for your link will check out.
My faves: Vengaboys (no, seriously) -Kiss; Ma Bell & Dave the Wave- In the Midnight Hour; Benny Maze/ Jonathan Peters - Deep Kemical; Jonathan Peters- 6,8,12 dub.
If you look at runner forums you’ll find two tracks come up in every one of these “what music should I run to?” threads. One is “Eye of the Tiger,” which would personally only make me want to run in front of a bus. The other is Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” Which I notice competitive runners eat up like chocolate crack.
