VICE magazine is made by cunts.
Yeah. Totally is. Not gonna lie. They’re stuff is funny. When they aren’t coked up and writing about how awesome last night’s wiskey dick was, they have really funny editorials about making fun of how people dress and stuff.
The author of this obviously didn’t seem to expand their skills as a DJ and sounds as though they did the bare minimum in terms of mixing to make money. Now that is not a DJ.
I hate all this hate. ![]()
C’mon turtle, I mean, err, Photojojo, let’s hug it out bro.
Yeah… I secretly thought it was funny.
C*nt talk of the highest order though
Yeah they have some hilarious weird stuff in there but I never buy a magazine that has the arrogance to have a “Do’s & Dont’s” section.
Gid it looks like it was writen by a typical Miami D bag.
Oh, and I left a comment. I am L2DJ.

i don’t read the magazine, but in regards to this article i thought they were just being ironic… seems too absurd to be taken seriously. i could be mistaken, but it just looked like shock-jock journalism meant to be more outrageous than an actual proper assessment of dj culture…
relaxe man! ![]()
no, he (or she - amy) is a disc jockey. selects and plays music for their audience. and does it in a very funny way.
now good dj or artist? debatable. awesome read, though, thanks.
my favourite part was when they called turntablists not djs… just nerds..
lol
I agree with the article. Anyone can be a dj, no one cares how obscure your music collection is, the people want to hear cheese, they want to hear what they are fimilar with. They dont want to be educated on what they should like, MTV and the Jersey Shore already made up their minds.
Notice the article was written in 2004. I like how DJing has become totally automated in the 6 years since the writing, I never see DJ’s in the booth, just a laptop doing all the work
Tongue in cheek.
