A few questions about this package…

Hi there DarioJ and DJTT community - I’m pretty new to the DJ world, using Traktor and a VCI-100 for the past two years as more of a hobbyist. At the encouragement of my DJ friends that have been teaching me, I’ve recently picked up a pair of used mk2’s, looking to learn on vinyl to become a “Real” DJ :stuck_out_tongue:. So now I’ve got a few stacks of old school vinyls and lotsa digital music, I’m thinking about moving toward a Traktor Scratch Pro 2 setup to hopefully do both vinyl and digital mixing of electronica.

So far, what you’ve got looks like a good combo of things that would help me get to the system I want, but I have a few questions:

  1. How old is your DN-X1600 and the Kontrol X1, and why are you getting rid of them? Other than your gain pot looking out of line as you’ve mentioned, is everything else in perfect working order?
  2. I see that the DN-X1600 is Traktor Scratch Certified, but that came out after the product was released - does the firmware version on the DN-X1600 you have work with Traktor Scratch?
  3. I’ve been a lurker here on DJTT and never had an account. I made one just to post here and PM you - looks like the site’s not letting me PM you since I just made this account. How do I contact you to move forward with this purchase, should I decide to?

  1. I originally bought this from another member here a little over a year ago. Never took it out of the house till I sold it to a friend. Before I reduced the price I had brief reasoning for the sale - the friend who bought it got unfortunately deported from the US. I never got paid, but he made sure I got it back. To my knowledge my buddy never even had it set-up. I have no need for the setup anymore. If you’d like I can video anything specific.
