Problems with new Firmware-Update MF Classic
Hey DJ Techtools,
I recently tried to update my MF Classic with the new Firmware-Update tool. It didnt work on PC (Win7, 32b) and also didnt work on my MacBook Pro (10.7.i dont know the last number but its the newest version of OSX Lion).
I took some research on that and tried everything i could find in these threads:
Unfortunately, nothing worked (or i did something wrong, i dont know). I’ve spend literally 4 hours now desperately trying to repair that littly buddy.
Both, PC & Mac recognize the MF in their system, so there is nothing wrong with the USB connection.
Another strange thing is how the LEDs light up when connected. I uploaded a little video for you to check it out:
I also attached 2 screenshots of the MF Firmware Tool. The second one shows an error on the buttom: “RtMidiOut::sendMessage: error preparing sysex header.” Don’t know what that means.
I would have sent it over to you guys to fix it but i’m from germany and it will be quite expensive to send it over and on top of that i will have to pay customs duty… So that will only be the final solution if everything else fails.
I need some HELP PLEASE! ..And sorry for my bad english!
