Question About Native Instruments XMAS Gift-Blocks
I downloaded blocks and also downloaded Reaktor Player. It won’t let me create new files or save without activating Reaktor 6. I assume that they mean the full version.
Did NI give a gift that requires a purchase to fully utilize or am I missing something?

You can use Blocks with the free Reaktor 6 player. You may need the full version of Reaktor to create new files/save them - I haven’t tried that yet. Having said that, it’s kind of the “spirit” of modular to start with a blank canvas and twist until you get “there.” There are no preset saving capabilities on a hardware modular system, so kinda the same thing here. 
Yup, that’s the main difference between Reaktor Player and a regular license
