i’ve just got my m-audio quattro, and i’ve got a bit of a problem, i don’t know if i have to connect A PAIR of jacks on the back pannel to get a correct output or if one connection is enough … it’s pretty confusing, but could anybody help me out with this please?
I am pretty sure your card has unbalanced outputs, so you just need to work out which is your left and right channels. Then plug one of these in each jack then run RCA wires to your stereo or mixer.
It seems to me that we have A LOT of “how do I hook up my soundcard” and “how do I cue” questions at the moment. How about doing an articel on the issue? Or maybe just a sticky?

We have plans for making answers like these, we are currently working out the best approach - the Cue question isn’t the only one to be answered multiple times. I am thinking more along the lines of a FAQ that links to different posts that answers the different frequently asked questions.
Hey, Im gona hijack this thread rather than create my own. Ive just got a rather retro quattro off ebay to finally get my setup going. Just a few questions really..
There are no drivers for vista, should it still work? Will this cause me any problems?
Also having seen the back it has 4 1/4 inch outs. Ive got a set of headphones with a 1/8 inch jack and my speakers are also a 1/8 inch jack as they as just a decent set of computer speakers atm. What will i need to connect everything? Will the adapter above work? Where can i get these?
