I’ll admit it: I’m slow. I just learned today that that is actually Etta James voice from her song “Something’s Got A Hold On Me” that Avicii samples in “Levels”. I actually found myself liking the song that the sample is from.
Curious to know who else might have used that sample besides Pretty Lights and Flo Rida?
Yeah its quite a shame that she came back into the limelight just due to the Avicii & Flo Rida tracks recently but hopefully people will dig back as you have done and discover a great artist.
Think im gonna play the original at the end of my Pop set on saturday as a tribute.
