RA Top 100 poll
I know this discussion is beat to death, but this particular list doesn’t have a few of the big names the other 100 lists have so I thought it was pretty interesting.
A list reflecting exactly what I hoped to see from a top 100. Perhaps not really taking dubstep and harder electro into account though…(no deadmau5 and Skrillex but im not complaining)
Reading the comments is hilarious. I absolutely love RA and their forums, but some people take it waaaaaaay too seriously.
RA caters to a much different crowd, if they even mentioned some of the big names that are on the other top 100 lists the community would explode.
Its a great list though!
IMHO one of the few lists with street cred - JJ came out of nowhere.
There’s plenty of dubstepish stuff on there, Joy Orbison, Pearson Sound, Julio Bashmore, Scuba.

would’ve liked to see joy o and pearson sound a little bit higher, but overall the list is pretty good

Producer - yes, why not. There’s a reason for the Grammy nods. But hardly because of his dj’ing ability. Imo
I think the list is a good representation. Enjoyed reading it.
I also would have liked to see Pleasurekraft on there

And there definitely is Dubstep in there, just not the “wobble-wobble” stuff many are used to.

It’s really nice to see a different list, but I don’t understand this one either.
Polls are based on popularity. Artistic tastes are subjective.
Because not everyone has the same taste as you maybe?
