Raleigh North Carolina: Dubstep the prominent genre?
alright, so I’m a bedroom dj… and I would really like to go out and get a gig, but I’m finding that the biggest genre in my area (raleigh), seems to be Dubstep, one i’m not too familiar with. Anybody else in the area see this to be true? I’ve been out to quite a few bars/clubs where the Dubstep stage will have the dance floor packed, while the electro floor is looking a little bit sparse.
I dunno, it just seems a little bit wierd to me. I mean, Dubstep got me moving to night for sure, but I was really wishing more people were over on the Electro stage, cause I sure would love to dance over there.
the scene in raleigh is hard to find but there… Dubstep is definately catching on though… I grew up in Durham and go to school in Hawaii. Dubstep was getting to be the hot shit around end of summer
hell yeah man. Went down to berkeley cafe in downtown raleigh for a DnB/electro/dubstep night, and the dubstep stage was freaking packed in comparison to either of the others.
Might be building some Tuba 30’s for some sick house parties, cause my mates and I are looking for some shit to do in our apartment.
dude, its cool that there are actually people from raleigh on this site. Wow. But yeah, the crowd at the berk on saturday was all about some dubstep, and I was really surprised.
I used to live around NC State and clubs played pretty awful music… pretty much that bro’stacular radio techno that people dance with their fists in the air… definetly that place need more electro going on…
I’m lookin for a dubstep DJ around Raleigh Durham area that would be interested in working with me and setting up parties and more because the only equipment I have right now is my laptop, a speaker and fl studio 10 lol but I want to get out there make some money so that I can buy equipment

I play electro house and trance at Mosaic Wine Lounge. Steven Feinberg is the owner, and a REALLY cool guy. Very down to earth and open-minded. If you’re looking for your first club gig and don’t want to play dub all night, this would be a great place, as they have nights for just about every type of music imaginable.
